it actually falls more straight than shown in the photo on the towel when actually worn, as seen above. After trying it on I decided to add a trim to the scarf with some remaining yarn.
By stitching the last row with a slip stitch using a smaller hook (H) it gave the scarf a slight curve.
In many of the photos the Baby blue looks almost purple or lavender. This is the color in natural light near a window. The white is a pearly white (Vintage white). The Bernat Baby Blanket white is a more pure white color.

Bernat Blanket
Yarn – Baby blue and Vintage White
Pattern:
Using an 8 mm hook (H) 100 chains, turn
Skip 2 chains, in 3rd chain double crochet, then
double crochet in ever chain until the end
At the last chain double crochet then chain up 2 and turn
work around
Double crochet in the same stitch as the 2 chains
Double crochet in each chain down the row until the end and
repeat until the desired width. For this scarf I did 5 rows of doubt crochet.
The 1st and 3rd and 5th with Vintage white,
and the 2nd and 4th row with Baby blue. After the 5th
row attach a slip stitch to finish it off to match the beginning chain stitch
from the first row. This evened out the thickness of the last row to match the
first row.
When done on each end of the width of the scarf using a smaller hook, 5 mm (H) do 2 rows of
single crochet stitches with one chain in the corners before turning with baby
blue.
