Tea Time with Teal - Podcast 11

 Podcast 11
May 10, 2014

Teal and Sarbdeep discuss how to choose a spiritual guide and what to look for and what to watch out for.  A wonderful discussion that relates to everyone, no matter what your beliefs are. What I love most about Teal's teaching is that she focuses on self discovery and personal truth, as opposed to following others blindly just to fit in.

Allowing and Action

 when-writing-the-story-of-your-life
by Teal Swan
What does it mean to be allowing?  To be in a state of “allowing”, means to deliberately choose thoughts, words and actions that allow your desires to manifest in your reality.   In order for you to allow your desires to manifest, your thoughts, words and actions must line up with your desires.  For example, you can’t desire money and simultaneously think the thought “there isn’t enough money” and have money manifest in your experience because the thought of money and the thought of there isn’t enough money aren’t a vibrational match; they aren’t in alignment.

We cannot be thinking a thought that feels emotionally negative to us and be in a state of allowing.  We cannot take an action that feels emotionally negative to take and be in a state of allowing.  And no amount of action that we ever take can make up for what we lack in thought.  But is action a contradiction to allowing, or is action a key ingredient to allowing?

Most of us have the same picture in our minds when we think of allowing.  For most of us, the picture we have is a person who is blissed out and meditating in a state of complete, passive surrender to the universe.  We picture in our minds, a state of inactivity.  We imagine that allowing means letting the universe live out our lives for us.  We treat our lives as if we were chess pieces here to be played by the universe according to a pre determined game and we call it “destiny” or “purpose”.  But this picture of allowing is a misunderstanding.  The state of allowing is not a state of inaction; it is not a state of spiritual laziness and surrender.  It is a state of deliberate focus and inspired action.

You could think of the state of allowing as the state of total non-resistance.  And the state of total non-resistance is not stagnant energy; it is forward moving energy.  There is a saying in the spiritual community, “whatever happens is meant to happen”.  And it is true that the way you know if something should be happening, is if it is happening, but we in the spiritual community use this saying to cop out of the responsibility of being the creators of our own lives.  When we feel utterly powerless to our own lives, the thought, “whatever happens is meant to happen” is a comfort to us.  It helps us to release resistance, but that there is the problem.

Those of us, who live our lives according to this belief, often feel deep down that we are powerless to our own lives.  We live our lives at the mercy of the universe, which is to forget that we are extensions of this universe.  In essence, we use the passive surrender statement of “whatever happens is meant to happen” when we have given up.  We have created so much resistance relative to our lives and we distrust our ability to create what we want to such a degree that giving up and turning it over to the universe feels like relief.

The entire reason you are here is because the universe at large knew that it would benefit by projecting itself, in the form of you into the physical dimension, which is the leading edge of expansion.  Did you catch that?  “Leading edge” means that you are the one leading the universe, not the other way around.  You are the one telling the universe which direction you want your life to go, not the other way around.  The universe is merely arranging your reality so that it is an exact mirror and match to your current thoughts.  Whether you are thinking something negative or positive, you are telling the universe what to become and thus what your reality is to become.

The universe is no more God than you are God.  The universe is learning through your perspective and your desire what is right for you.  The universe is not playing us like a chess game full of inanimate chess pieces.  Instead, we are like animated chess pieces that tell the player (the universe) which direction we want to move and through that, the player (the universe) learns about itself.   The chess player learns about itself through the chess pieces because the chess pieces are just a projection of itself.  The chess pieces and the chess player are different manifestations of the exact same being.

You did not come here so the universe could live your life for you.  In fact, that would be the sure fire way to stop the expansion of this universe.  When you spend your life turning your life over to the universe, there is no real point to living.  It is as if there is a lull in the game because the universe can’t play the game when you don’t play the game.  The universe keeps waiting for your move because it’s your turn and you keep waiting for its move because you think it is the universe’s turn.  You wind up stuck.  You are not giving the universe the energy or momentum to direct.  It is important to remember something; you have to throw the ball for the universe to throw it back.

Another important thing to remember is, the more balls you throw, the more chances that one of those is going to be a home run.  When we are attached to the idea of needing one specific thing to pan out so we can meet our desire, we develop a lot of resistance because we fear that if it does not pan out, we will not achieve our desire.  And so, we can’t stop worrying about it.  Worry is resistance.  And so, if we can instead throw energy towards many options, we will have less resistance and therefore we will be in a state of allowing towards our desire and thus, it will manifest much faster and easier.  On a practical level, we can see this issue playing out amongst the demographic of people who play the lottery.

If we become convinced that the only way we are going to make millions is if we win the lottery, we put all of our energy towards the lottery.  But we also care so much about winning the lottery that we worry about the potential of not winning the lottery.  And thus, we resist the very thing we desire; and because of it, we do not allow ourselves to create a situation in our lives where we do win the lottery.  And what’s more than that, we disallow all other potential avenues for financial abundance to come into our experience.  Via our beliefs, we have told the universe that the only way that money can come is via the lottery, which is the very venue that due to our worry, we are in resistance to.  We cannot allow our own abundance when we are doing that.  Instead, we limit ourselves.  We are not throwing multiple balls to the universe, we are throwing one ball to the universe; and because of our own resistance, we are throwing it poorly.  It is sort of like throwing a ball into a gale force wind.  And thus, the chance of that ball becoming a home run is very low.

Spiritual living and allowing does not mean a state of “blissed out” laziness.
That very idea is a direct opposition to the truth that you are the creator of your reality.  Action feels good; it feels good because you manifested physically specifically to act.  The sweetness of the experience of taking action as the result of an inspiration is the reason we choose to come into the physical dimension again and again.  And so, it must be said that sometimes the highest form of allowing is taking action.  Passive surrender is not always the most allowing state.  Passive surrender can be the result of disbelief and distrust in the self.  It is all too often the indication that we are trying to cope with the feeling of being overwhelmed and powerless.  We use the modality of passive surrender to escape the pressure of being in charge of a reality that we feel is out of our control.

The time has come to ask yourself:  Am I trying to let the universe live my life for me, or am I the one living my life?  In order to be the one living your life, you must first deciding what you desire and then use inspiration to take action to move in the direction of that desire.  The most allowing state to be in is not the state of surrender.  The most allowing state to be in is the state of positive focus.  And the second most allowing state to be in is the state of taking inspired action.  To take inspired action, is to take action that is inspired by a positive emotion.  This is opposed to an urged action, which is the byproduct of a negative emotion.  Though urged action may feel like temporary relief, it will not yield positive results because it is caused by a negative emotion.

The law of attraction, which is the most powerful law in the universe dictates that negative emotion can only be a match to negative action, which can only be a match to negative results.  You can see this easily by examining the behavior of a heroin addict.  When I am feeling afraid or powerless, I may feel the urge to shoot up heroin.  The idea and action of shooting up heroin may feel like relief because it is an improvement from the feeling of powerlessness and fear.  But it was still an action that was the result of powerlessness and fear and so, due to the law of attraction, only more powerlessness and fear can be the result of taking that action.

On the other hand, if I was feeling afraid or powerless and I was to deliberately look for better and better feeling thoughts to think, (thoughts that in the thinking of them felt like relief) I would eventually find myself thinking a thought that felt emotionally positive and empowering to me.  Maybe that positive thought would cause me to suddenly feel the inspiration to go on a hike in nature; and because that action was inspired from a positive thought that felt like empowerment, it would yield positive results that would only lead to more empowerment.

Living a spiritual life does not mean taking a back seat to God or a back seat to the universe.  It means allowing yourself to work with the universe instead of against it; to work with yourself instead of against yourself.  What is meant to happen is what you want to have happen!   The universe will arrange all necessary conditions for you to achieve your desires and because the universe doesn’t have resistance, it will arrange those conditions the second you desire them.  If anything other than what you think you want to have happen occurs, it is because of one of two things:

1)   You yourself, are resisting what you desire with something you are thinking or believing.
2)   You are in denial of what you truly desire, while you have been simultaneously subconsciously informing the universe of what you truly desire; and so the universe is responding to the deeper, stronger truth of what you really desire.

In either case, you are the one calling the shots.  You cannot live your life without taking action.  Learning to surrender and just “be” is valuable because it helps you to release resistance and re connect with the truth of who you are as a spiritual being in a quantum universe with no time, where the present moment is all that exists and it is perfect as it is.  But to try to “just be” in the physical dimension is not possible.  It is ended-ness.  It means that you are not allowing yourself to be the creator that you came here to be.  This is your life.  Now live it.

What Is the New Age Movement? by Teal Scott

Yesterday I was forwarded an anti New Age movement video and I was asked to express my opinion on it.  The basic argument made was that the New Age Movement is just opiate for the masses (what scientists have been saying about religion for years) and that it is just an excuse to boost book sales and enhance the personal careers of people like myself who are in essence convincing people they can manifest money so that we can make money off of those people.  I don’t usually feel compelled to respond to videos or comments that are offered by people who are in a space of extreme resistance, because there is no desire in them to find a meeting of minds.   Where there is no receptivity, no meaningful conversation can take place, so it is just better to allow them to feel exactly how they feel and line up with the results of that perspective.  But this time, I am compelled to comment because on a worldwide level, I am considered a leader of the New Age.  People give me titles and associate me with things all the time, but being called a leader of the New Age is a title I resonate with and agree with.  I am a definite supporter of the “New Age Movement”.  It is my desire to clarify for you what the New Age Movement actually is because most people who consider themselves to be “New Age”, do not even know what this movement is all about.  And I have to be honest; many of the participants of the New Age movement do not help the public image that we hold.  Instead, they discredit the movement by virtue of their actions and words. I’m going to begin by summing up the new age movement as succinctly as I can.

The new age movement is a spiritual and socio-economic movement that seeks to create a spirituality that is not confined by dogmas or borders, a spirituality that is inclusive and pluralistic.  It seeks to create unity within humanity by extracting the seeds of truth (taking the best) from all cultures, all philosophies, all religions as well as all non-religious based philosophies such as science, self-help and psychology.  It seeks to combine those truths into the purest, most in-alignment way of life that the world has yet seen.  It seeks to decrease suffering and create unity on a social and cultural level as well, in accordance with the spiritual truths of this universe.

Keep in mind that unity is not ever to be confused with conformity!  You cannot force any of these changes to occur, people must come to them on an individual level and be allowed to do that.  Everything else that is associated with the New Age Movement (like intentional communities, veganism/raw food-ism, astrology, positive thinking, teleology, self help, intuition, theism etc.) is just an extension of this principal belief nucleus or intention.
new_age_peace
The New Age Movement recognizes all beings as integral, individual puzzle pieces to the whole.  As such, it recognizes that all beings are unique.  As unique beings, what works for one person, will be different than what works for anyone else.  Because of this, the basic premise of the New Age Movement is that YOU, as an individual should create your own religion for yourself.  Your life should be a unique cocktail of what resonates with you.  It should not contain any ingredients that do not resonate with you.  Sometimes those very same ingredients that work for you, will work for other people too, but the ingredients aren’t what matters as much as the mixture of ingredients which adds up to your specific and unique recipe of well being.  Spirituality, science, religion, truth, knowledge…It all means nothing if it does not contribute to a more enjoyable life.  And The New Age Movement trusts you to know what is best for you.  You can trust yourself.  You can especially trust yourself to discern what feels good and what doesn’t feel good.  And as long as you can trust yourself to know what does and doesn’t feel good, you can trust yourself to know what is right for you personally. We must take the best that all religions and all cultures and all science and all people have to offer.  We need to take them and roll those pure, shining truths into one practice within ourselves and make that the devout practice of our lives.  This is true progression.  This is the dawning of a new age within the human race, where people recognize their own unique divinity and as such, smash through the powerlessness of their own lives.  Those of us who are part of the New Age Movement are committed to the idea of a world full of individuals that are empowered in their own lives, because we have not missed the truth that at the heart of EVERY single crime and war and injustice and tragedy, is a basic belief in one’s powerlessness to the rest of the world and to other people.  An empowered individual is an individual who never feels the urge to cause harm to another.  The impulse simply never occurs.  Imagine a society that is the reflection of such individuals.

I, for one, am head over heels dedicated to bringing this unified, empowered and free society to fruition.  And many people, who share this vision, are already part of the New Age Movement without even knowing it.  It is true that many people are wary about associating themselves with the New Age classification, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t agree with it.  And despite the criticism and discrediting that has been directed at the movement, this really is a new age we are living in and bringing about.  The New Age Movement is a freedom movement.  It is a freedom movement designed first and foremost to dissolve barriers within ourselves and dissolve barriers between people.  The barriers we have erected between each other are painful.  The restrictions we have placed on ourselves in order to try to get ourselves to conform are painful.  We dishonor the truth of who we are by trying to cram ourselves into tiny boxes; tiny boxes of religion, tiny boxes of culture, tiny boxes of family beliefs etc.  We cannot be the full expression of our true selves while we are adhering to tiny boxes and while we are trying to get ourselves to fit into an external society instead of molding our external society(s) to fit us as individuals. The time has come to end both human suffering and non-human suffering.  The time has come to see that even though contrast is a necessary part of expansion, suffering is not.  There is no excuse for unnecessary suffering.  It is time that suffering ends within this world.  But for suffering to end in this world; it must first end within ourselves.

Because Humor is a good way to end suffering with oneself, I’m going to include two hysterically funny videos that pertain to this very topic.  A good place to start, is to learn how to laugh at ourselves… .

10 Tips For a Successful Relationship

Ask Teal Website - http://www.askteal.com
Relationships are the real heart of expansion... Which means they are the most contrasting experiences we have in our human lives. They are the source of our greatest joy and the source of our greatest misery.

Relationships create the means for our personal evolution. And so in order to have successful relationships, we need to learn how to flow with the current of that change. We need to learn how to cultivate harmony while allowing that change within us to take place.

Talk about difficult. It is the work of several lifetimes. Unconditional love is an exchangeable term with enlightenment. And so it is a thing we will be practicing for the rest of our lives. Some days you'll have an easier time with it than others.

In this episode Teal shares ten tips, which will help us to have successful, enjoyable relationships.

Feed people you are in a relationship love every day...
Attention- find time each day to give them a bit of your undivided attention
Affection- find time each day to show them a little bit of affection
Appreciation- find time each day to give them verbal gratitude or verbal validation

These 3 As are ways to feed a relationship a bit of love each day
If this doesn't come naturally, set an alarm at a random interval and choose one to act upon, send a loving text, bring home a gift, give a hug etc.

Humans have 5 basic ways in which they express love to each other:
Words of Affirmation
Physical touch
Acts of Service
Quality time
Gifts

When in a relationship with someone, either romantic of friendship, you need to learn to speak the love language of the person.  We all come in with a primare love language, the strongest way we give and receive love (acknowldege love being received).

So to be in a happy relationship, find out what that primary love language is of the person and meet that love language, learn how to speak it.  This way you can better aknowledge when they are showing you love.  Also it's ok to ask them to show you love in the way you best speak the language of love.  Example, if you feel loved when someone confides in you once in awhile letting you know how they're doing, to meet that need for them text them now and then to let them know how your day is going.  This only strengthens a relationship.

It's important to know the love language spoken in a relationship, on both sides, because you may be trying to speak the language of love you speak and it may go unnoticed by the other person and vise versa, and there is a disconnect.

Should I Vaccinate?

You have been lead to believe that vaccines are safe. But they are not safe. The birth of the vaccine is one of the worst scientific mistakes and subsequent cover ups in human history. The science behind vaccines is not only flimsy, it is an embarrassment. But money, (which is the true motivation behind vaccines) is flowing in by the billions and has since the birth of the vaccine and so, vaccines continue to be propagated. Medical intervention for those who are ill is a multi billion dollar proposition. But it is an even bigger money maker to require people who are in a state of perfect health to pay for medical intervention, such as a vaccine or drug.

The world that we live in is a world that is owned and run not by people, but by companies... Companies who have one motivation: Money. And companies who can lobby politicians to pass legislation that is not in the best interest of human life. These same companies own the media. To give the general public the real information about vaccines, hurts sales. Most of the studies done about vaccines are done by the very same companies that stand to profit from the success of these vaccines. Most of the medical clinics you visit make their living off of vaccines. So there is a huge conflict of interest within the medical community relative to vaccination.

Teal explains that as a medical intuitive, she has never seen a human body benefit by a vaccine, she has only ever seen them hurt the human body. She explains that vaccines are no substitute for eating a diet and living a lifestyle that supports the immune system. She goes on to explain that there are natural barriers between a human body and a virus (such as the walls of the respiratory and digestive system) and that by injecting a virus straight into the blood stream, you are by passing those barriers which enable the virus to enter vital organs and to cross the blood brain barrier; which is extremely dangerous.

The idea that vaccines should be mandatory is unconstitutional. It is a blow at freedom and freedom is precious. In the future, Vaccines will be looked at in the same way that we look at blood letting today. It will be seen as an embarrassment in human history.

Emotional Health after Suicide

When someone close to use takes their own life, we are left in the aftermath to deal with it, and heal from it

Life After Suicide

Why? This is a question which anyone whose life is touched by suicide will find themselves asking. Why would anyone willingly cause his or her own death? The answer to this question is simple but the grief experienced by anyone who is dealing with suicide is anything but simple.

Suicide is a topic which has been shrouded in stigma for hundreds of years. This stigma ensures that the shock which is normally experienced in the wake of any death is experienced multifold when someone commits suicide. Often, the pain of coping with suicide is so acute that it feels like we have lost our own lives right along with them when they chose to take theirs. Those of us left behind in the wake of a suicide often find ourselves drowning in a sea of unfathomable grief and misunderstanding. A large part of that misunderstanding comes from the stigma that there is something inherently wrong with suicide. In our society today, suicide has become taboo because it is so tightly interwoven with the concept of sin. It is for this reason that when trying to heal from the grief of a suicide, the first understanding to come to is that there are no consequences awaiting those who commit suicide after death.

The idea that there is a consequence waiting after death for those who chose suicide is an idea fabricated by the minds of men. Men who sought to create conformity and obedience. Men who sought to control other people's lives to put themselves into power. The idea that suicide meant punishment after death is not even an idea that shows up in religion until men began to use religion to control the masses. They demanded conformity, which pulled people sideways, away from their own joy. When that occurred, men began to suffer and so a religious idea was invented by man to justify why a person should continue to conform and put up with suffering.

The idea that was given to the people by those who sought to control them was that life is supposed to be hard. The idea that was given to the people is that life is supposed to be one of suffering and penance so that man may make himself worthy of a God that stands in judgment of him. They used this belief to justify their control of others, most especially to justify things like taxation, which at times in early civilization became so extreme that taxation made living a good life... impossible. God was made out to be a being which was external from mankind, more like a parent figure who both rewarded and punished you based on your conformity or failure to conform. The idea presented to man kind was that life wasn't meant to be joyous.

Instead, it was meant to be hard and full of tests and that the reward for passing those tests and bearing your hard life well came after you died. So with that understanding, people began to rush the process and hasten their transition into the rewards of death. In other words a large percentage of them began to commit suicide. When those intent on creating conformity saw that they had lost control again because those people who didn't want to conform were killing themselves, they had to invent a new idea... The idea that the only time that death does not mean reward is if you kill yourself. They made suicide a sin a kin to murder. Not because it is. But because it was the only way to keep control and get people to conform. This belief and stigma still exists in our society surrounding the idea of suicide. It is an idea which has been added to and justified and perpetuated for hundreds of years. It is no part of universal, objective truth. Though we all gain more from joy than from suffering, though we all wish joy for those we love and though it is unimaginably painful to loose someone to suicide, suicide is not "bad". Suicide is not a sin. Suicide is not "wrong".

Suicide is the byproduct of the feeling of total powerlessness. It occurs when someone has focused negatively for so long or with such intensity, that they become cut off from the natural stream of wellbeing which created their life in the first place (their higher self). When this occurs, they become cut off from their own desires and from who they really are. They hold themselves vibrationally apart from their higher self to such a degree that life force energy is prevented from flowing through them. This life force is often referred to as an inner light. In the absence of that inner light, they feel as if they are in a chasm so deep and dark that there is no way out. They feel as if there is no light at the end of the tunnel. And as such, their pain exceeds their resources for coping with the pain of that "disconnection". And suicide seems like the only way out of that space. No one commits suicide out of selfishness. In fact, they often feel as if other people around them are also better off without their misery and darkness. From their perspective, it seems more like mercy towards themselves and others to check out of their life.

We all intuitively (if not mentally) know that what is waiting for us after death is the pure positive vibration of source energy or that which has been called God perspective. This is why suicide happens. We intuitively sense the presence of relief in death.

Suicide could be accurately seen as pushing a re-set button. It is not a decision which is good or bad in and of itself. Source (that which is often called God) does not condemn nor condone the decision. And nor should we. We can not say that suicide is wrong without also saying that death is wrong. And death is not wrong. It is the natural conclusion of everyone's life just like birth is the natural beginning of everyone's life. Everyone chooses their death. This is the case regardless of whether someone dies from an accident or from illness or from suicide. For death to occur, an individual's singular perspective must align with (agree with) the perspective of their higher self in the decision to withdraw the focus of their consciousness into physical, three dimensional reality. Both perspectives must concur that death is a step in the right direction for death to occur, so having said that, suicide is about one thing and one thing only, those who it leaves behind.
How does a person go about coping and healing from the grief experienced when someone they love commits suicide?

1. Be prepared for VERY powerful emotions and changes. Your life will never be the same again. The reason you want to prepare for this is that the emotions and beliefs flushed up by suicide are so intense that at some point in the process, you are bound to feel as if you are going crazy. But you are not going crazy. The emotions which are going to come up are normal as extreme as they may be. They will be all consuming and the worst thing to do is to resist them. "I am where I am" should be the motto of anyone dealing with this kind of grief. There is nothing wrong with you any more than there is something wrong with a woman going through the process of birth. Your world is falling apart at the seams. The process will be all consuming. You may experience nightmares and symptoms of post traumatic stress. The idea that you should "just be ok" or "deal with it gracefully" is one you should let go of upfront. Try to trust that if you surrender to the process, you will eventually come out on the other side with a brand new life. Well being is natural to life. If you allow yourself to surrender, the process will carry you like a current to the other side. If you fight against these emotions and the changes, if you fight for composure, you will be fighting against a current that you can't win against. It will feel like you are drowning.

2. Find support from people who know about grief and whom will allow you to be wherever you are in the process and not expect you to keep it together. Find people to support you who you feel good being around. If it feels good to be alone, find people to support you who will allow you to do that. Realize that they too will be going through their own process of grief. These people can also help you to take care of the day to day part of living while you are grieving. They can help you with meals, with errands, with funeral arrangements and with informing other people that a loved one has passed away as the result of suicide. People actually enjoy helping, in fact one of the hardest parts of watching someone cope with a death of a loved one is feeling helpless with nothing to do. In this day and age, even if you don't have close friends and family, there are organizations and people whose sole purpose is to step in and fill this role for you. Go looking for them. Grief is a time to learn that we live in an interdependent universe and that we can ask for help.

3. Understand the feelings associated with grief.
Shock is the first reaction to any death. When you first discover that someone has committed suicide, you may be so shocked that you will feel totally numb. This numbness can last for a long time. It is the natural result of your brain trying to process something which is too much for it to process. Similar to the shock the body experiences as a result of an injury, this kind of emotional shock is the result of brain protecting itself from the initial pain of the loss. This numbness can make it so that you are unable to go on with your day to day life. Your routine will be completely interrupted. Let it. This is a time for being where you are. This shock may last a few hours or a few days or go on for several weeks. Denial may also be a part of this initial shock.

Anger and Blame is usually the second reaction to death. Most people who lose a loved one experience this emotion at some point. It is completely normal. You might be angry with your loved one for abandoning you or leaving you buried in grief to deal with alone. Or you may be angry with yourself or others for missing clues about your loved one's suicidal intentions. You may be angry that something could have been done differently but wasn't. Don't deny your anger. Talk about it, think about it, and deal with it constructively. Find out what you are really angry about. Own up to that anger. There's nothing wrong with anger. And it does not mean you are a bad person or that you don't love the person who is gone.

Guilt is the third emotion associated with death. Often, when you are dealing with suicide, the anger you have towards the whole situation turns inwards on yourself. When you have hit the guilt stage of grief, you will play out endless scenarios of "what if" and "if only" and "I should have" in your own mind. To stay in a place of guilt is to punish yourself for something you can not change. There is nothing natural about that. Your loved one, who has exited this life, does not want you to feel guilty. There is no healing that can take place when you continue to hold yourself accountable for someone else's life, even if that life is the life of your spouse or what's more... your child. Relief from guilt will come only when you accept that nothing can be done. It was their choice (not your choice) to do what they wanted with their own life. Your loved one is no longer here in the physical and nothing can be changed. Your loved one can't be helped any more. They have done what they felt was the best thing to do and now, they are in a place of total relief. They are free. And so all there is to do is to decide whether to commit to life again. And once you've decided to commit to life again, all there is to do is to start a new life piece by piece and minute by minute, one which is built from the experience of loss.

Despair and Sadness are the next feelings associated with suicide. Once you really let go of what could have been done differently and come into a place of acceptance about the fact that your loved one is no longer here in the physical, and that nothing can be changed, you will most likely find yourself in the full experience of loss. You may find that you are completely overtaken by loneliness, sadness, or helplessness. It is even common for you to consider suicide yourself. The key to healing from this stage is about living moment to moment trying to be in the now. Be very honest with yourself and prioritize doing things which feel good in the exact moment you are in. Don't make any long term plans. Find joy in very tiny things, like watching an uplifting movie or spending time with a favorite pet. If you run away from this pain by making big changes, you will find out that your despair will follow you wherever you run to. Take time to look for things that you have true gratitude for. Even if those things are as small as the feeling of hot water running over you in the shower. Any kind of positive focus will move you into a better feeling place. And bit by bit, you will find yourself at a point where you can begin to establish a new routine. And you may begin to even look forward to the future sometimes.

Relief is a feeling which is also a part of the emotional experience, but it is one which is not often talked about in association with suicide. This is because when it comes to death, relief is in and of itself treated as a taboo emotion. We have been indoctrinated to believe that if we love someone, we must feel really, really, really bad that they have transitioned into death forever. But death is a release of pain. That is why people commit suicide in the first place. If we pay close attention to how we feel when a loved one commits suicide, we will notice we often experience a brief feeling of relief.

Usually, by the time a person has committed suicide, their life has been consumed by pain and suffering for a long time. Those of us who were surrounded by that suffering may have felt the intense burden or exhaustion from being involved with them and being unable to do anything to change their suffering. And so the relief we may feel is a reflection of knowing we do not have to worry about them anymore and it is all over. We know they are not suffering and that the difficulty has ended. It is not "selfish" to feel this way. It is also very natural. Feeling this way does not mean that you don't love the person who has left this physical existence. So let go of the tendency to feel guilt for this feeling of relief. It is natural to feel relief when someone's suffering has come to an end.

4. Grieve in your own way. There is no right or wrong way to grieve. Don't rush the process. Just like birth, each person's grieving process will be unique unto themselves. Do what's right for you, not anyone else. Wait to do things you don't feel ready to do until you are ready. Don't let anyone tell you to be anywhere other than where you are. When you feel ready to move into a space of joy again, then you can initiate your own healing by finding help or by working through it on your own. The honest truth is that for many of us, the grief process is something we feel we really need. And so we should not try to rush it. People who want you to be better...now, feel that way because it hurts them to see you grieve. Not because feeling grief in and of itself is wrong. We want happiness for each other. It is easier for us to be happy when those around us are happy themselves. But you are only responsible for one thing: How YOU feel.

5. Allow yourself to experience set backs. Healing is not a linear process it is a process that happens in cycles. Some days will be better than other days. Anniversaries, birthdays and reminders of your loved one are likely to flush up grief all over again. These patterns of healing by re experiencing the pain will get fewer and farther in between and they will not be as intense and all consuming as they were the first time. Do not criticize yourself for these "set backs" because they are not really set backs at all. It is impossible to move backwards in this life. What is happening is that you are reaching new levels of healing. New healing begins with discovering new levels of pain.

6. Allow yourself alone time but remain connected to others. For most of us, it takes being alone with our thoughts in order to fully process and cope with grief. These periods of time where we really sit with ourselves and the truth of our feelings as they are... are a crucial part of healing. And we should allow ourselves to make time for them. Simultaneously, it is a wise decision to stay connected with people whom support us. For you, that may mean family and friends, or it may mean clergy or professionals or support groups. Keep in touch with people who can comfort and understand you and participate in your healing process. Keep that door open. If your alone time turns into isolation, you may find that you have dug your way into your own space of deep suffering and you will have trouble integrating yourself back into the world. You can take time to be alone, but do not expect yourself to go through the process of grief alone.

7. Replace the beliefs which keep you in a place of suffering. What keeps people grieving are the thoughts which they are holding on to which don't feel good to think. It may sound too simplistic, but it is really as simple as that. In order to build a new life and heal from the loss of someone to death, especially to suicide, we need to let go of the idea that if we love someone, we need to remain loyal to their memory and stay miserable because of the loss of them for the rest of our lives. This is not what loyalty is. Laughing and enjoying your life does not mean you've forgotten your loved one. If you really love someone, the best thing you can do for them is to become an example of alignment with joy. This is especially true when suicide is involved. Those who commit suicide, do so because however capable they may be, they are unable to align with joy. But they wanted joy. They wanted joy for themselves and for those around them. They made the decision that they had to die in order to align with that joy. But you do not have to die in order to align with joy. All you have to do is find a new way to think. Find a way to think about the situation that feels good. When the time comes that you are ready,

Let go of your thoughts that don't feel good to think such as:
• "What could I have done differently?"
• "They are gone forever"
• "I am totally alone"
• "I can't do this"
• "I'll never get over this"
• "What did I do to deserve this"
• "Life is over"
• "It was so selfish of them to do that"
• "I can't go on"
• "I must have done something horrible in my last life to deserve this"
• "I'm a terrible person"
• "They've ripped this family apart"
Replace thoughts which feel bad to think with thoughts that feel good to think
Such as:
• "They are at peace"
• "They didn't do this to hurt me."
• "I have become a more compassionate and whole person because of this experience"
• "In honor of their memory I allow myself to find joy like they couldn't"
• "I choose to seek out that which makes me happy"
• "I will see them again"
• "They are not gone. They have just "exited the movie theatre of life".

Thoughts which feel better to think are going to vary based on whoever is thinking them. One thought may feel really good for one person to think, but wont feel so good for another person to think. The key is finding the thoughts which feel really good for you, yourself to think. Spend time focused on those thoughts.
Sometimes we prevent ourselves from choosing thoughts that feel good because we are unsure if they are true or not. Don't preoccupy yourself with seeking out truth over what feels good in your life. Truth, as an external consensus does not exist. Instead, your life will become the byproduct of what thoughts you chose to think. And you will call that byproduct...Truth. And so, the gift of grief and loss is that when your life falls apart, you have the opportunity to build the truth of your life intentionally out of thoughts and beliefs that feel good to think. Because of this, you have the opportunity to build an even better life for yourself than the one you were living before. This is part of the universal intention for the existence of things as life shattering as coping with suicide in the first place.

You are meant to choose your life, not live a life that is the default byproduct of beliefs you adopted from your childhood experience. The gift of any kind of suffering is that it calls everything into question. Let your life fall apart. Then when you are ready, decide how you want to put it together again. Decide what thoughts and beliefs you want to lay as the foundation for your new life. Your grief and sadness will gradually subside, when you surrender to the process and then decide that you are ready to intentionally create new joy.

What is My Purpose?

The last few posts I focused on inner health as opposed to outer health choices, and today (on my Birthday) I wanted to post a very special post.  A video that held so much meaning for me, that I feel everyone should hear and in turn be affected by, in a positive way.  It's a common question we ask ourselves in any journey we take in our lives; "What is my purpose?" It's been a long time coming, but I have finally found so many answers to questions I have often asked myself within what Teal shares with us, and finally my life is making sense to me...I'm realizing that things I already knew are being confirmed, and in simple words life is sweeter:)
Are you Following your Bliss?
Following your Passions?
Following your Dreams?
Following Joy?
Happy?

The purpose of your life is Finding Joy.

Go in the direction of what you see as Bliss.
It’s really the only true motivation for anything…all choices…ultimately we understand that “joy” is our purpose, and do things that we think will bring us joy, even if it’s not in line with source (such as pursuing a career we think will make us happy because it has a potential to make us a lot of money).  And if we were to go in the direction of joy each day, thinking thoughts which felt good to think, going in the direction of what feels good to go in the direction of…there would be none of these heinous acts that you see committed.  If we really made that the priority, we would be doing what we were intended to do here.

If you believe passion isn’t the purpose in life, there’s a good chances you have sacrificed too much in your life. Passion is your indication that you are doing the appropriate thing. That’s why your purpose can be no different than what you find passionate.  It’s because you physically in this body are the physical expression of your source self.  So, what are your passions?  Mine in no particular order include health, art, inspiration, travel, experiencing new cultures/ideas, comforting/helping others, gardening…
Passion is the biochemical feeling that happens when you are in inline with your true self (source self), your higher purpose.   You feel the passion when the energy flows freely through you inline of your purpose.  This happens when you are thinking thoughts that are in line with your true self which feel good to think that’s your indication that you are in line with your higher purpose and true self and thus all that energy is flowing through you and that’s received to the biochemical model of your body as passion.  That’s why passion and joys are indications of what you were meant to be doing.
Your purpose in terms of what you were meant to do will literally fall in your lap as a byproduct of you following your joy.  Evolution in general is a byproduct of following joy.

How do we lose this puzzle piece?
When we’re children (which is the way this 3 dimensional reality was designed, it was designed to be a place of contrast, meaning you come down here and through the experience of lack of freedom you give rise to the idea of what freedom is. But in this model you come down to this family, and they have all these values. Which they try to instill on you, society in general does this, this is happening in multiple levels every day.  Let’s say a child is playing with a puzzle.  The second that the parent says to the child “that’s not where this puzzle piece goes, this puzzle piece goes here”, you are pulling the child sideways of their own movement and own direction.  It is incredibly easy, even with the best parents on this planet, to be directed away from your own energetic direction, where you were meant to be going.  And if we start caring what other people think more than we care about staying in line with what feels good to us, then suddenly we’re living a life according to what other people’s values and other people’s beliefs and other people’s direction, and not our own.  So that’s how we lose track of where we are going, and life becomes one of effort.

So, finding your purpose is really a matter of taking the risk of caring how you feel.  Taking the risk of following what feels good.    That means changing all aspects of your life, if need be, maybe what feels good is getting rid of that career you just spend 8yrs to achieve.  We have to be willing to take the risk to go in the direction of what feels good if we want to find what our true purpose is, if we want to live in health at all…because if you’re not living in line with your purpose, then you don’t have enough energy flowing through your physical body for you to say in a space of heath.

It’s interesting that some people play their lives very carefully, and in doing so it’s like they’re all here in this life where they continue to go in the direction of arranging it so they arrive at death safely.
Your purpose is not going to express itself in what you are going to get, and what you achieve.  Your purpose is going to express itself in what gift you have to give to this world, because a gift is an expression.   You in this physical life are an expression of your source self.   So that source self of yourself that projected itself here in the first place had an original intention.  Free will is pervasive, so you have a choice whether to stay in line with that original intention or not.  Your purpose will always be, in the form of, What Am I Meant to Express Here On This Planet.  That can be a daily thing, a monthly thing, or a lifelong thing.   You may have a huge purpose; in terms of I’m meant help during this shift to raise consciousness, but your purpose could be as simple as, I’m meant to do this art piece today.  Your purpose could be moment to moment, day by day.  So if you’d like to be in line with your purpose day by day basis, so your larger purpose falls in your lap, you have to take the risk to follow your joy and ask yourself day by day, what is trying to express itself through me today? By doing that, you will end up “doing” what you are meant to be doing here.
So I hope you can all have the courage to do that:)

Teal's Principal Teachings

A synopsis of Teal's principal teachings...
what wonderful words to live by:)
Turning a year older today, I hope to remember these principles and live an even happier more fulfilled life!

  • The governing truth of this universe is that of oneness.
  • There is no such thing as that which is “other” than you.
  • This Physical reality is not static.  It is that of “vibrating” energy.
  • You have an unbreakable connection with your higher self; the eternal, incorporeal portion of you, which is part of that which you call "God".
  • You are a physically manifested portion of your higher self.
  • Developing the skill of communication with your higher self is a key ingredient to living the happy, thriving life that you intend to live.
  • The physical body and physical world is a very small portion of what is “real”.  They are in fact only the product of consciousness and energy.
  • You create the reality you live in.
  • You create your reality with your attention and focus of thought.
  • There is no such thing as a negative circumstance which is bad enough that it prevents a person from eventually achieving happiness and health.
  • Death in terms of annihilation is impossible.  You are of eternal and infinite nature.  Physical life is just a temporary expression of the eternal you.
  • We make the choice to manifest into the physical dimension and withdraw from the physical dimension many times. Therefore, your lives have been many.
  • Worth can not be lost or gained.
  • Emotions can be used like a compass, they are also the result of your resonance or discord with your higher self.
  • Everything you want is achieved by finding consistent energetic resonance with your higher self. This is accomplished by making "bliss" the goal of each moment of your life.
  • That which you see as negative, does not have to be an enemy to your life.  It is an invaluable component of the evolution of all that is.
  • The thoughts you are thinking do not have to be the default byproduct of what you are observing in your external reality.  They can be consciously chosen, at which point your external reality will re assemble to match them.
  • Your body is continually changing and being created by your thoughts. No part of your body is “set in stone”. Your thoughts are even directing your DNA.
  • This universe is orchestrated by what has recently been called "the law of attraction".
  • This universe is multidimensional.
  • Evolution of self and of all that is, is the inevitable by product of living.
  • Every particle of matter within this universe contains at all times two aspects…The presence of that thing, and the absence of that very same thing.
  • Self love is the root from which all positive creations grow.
  • There is no such thing as a source of evil or malevolence within this universe because there are not two types of energy within the universe. The universe is made up of positively charged energy.  What we call “evil” is just the absence or prevention of that positively charged energy.
  • You are in the physical, in this body, because you chose to be.
  • There is no limit to what you can be, do or have.
  • Everything that exists in a person’s external reality is the mirrored manifestation of what is present within their internal reality.  Therefore, self awareness and self mastery are not only the key components to living life the way you intended to live it, they are also a principal route to happiness.
  • There are two types of truth in this universe, Objective (universal) Truth and Subjective (individual) Truth.
  • Freedom is a universal truth of both physical and non physical.
  • Free will and destiny are peacefully coexisting truths of life.
  • Love is the basis for all physical and non physical being.

Self Worth/Self Esteem

Teal Scott is an extrasensory, esoteric who writes and teaches about spirituality, the meaning of life, and the road to health and happiness. She is part of the first 1980's wave of Indigo Children.

Teal discusses Self Worth/Self Esteem.
Worth is inherent. You... As an extension of source energy are born and die with the same amount of worth and the same inherent potential which can not be added to or taken away from. You can think of worth like an eternal light which can't be turned off or turned brighter. It can simply be obscured or allowed to shine by what's in front of it.
A talent would be an example of something put in front of worth which allows it to shine. A fault may be seen as something put in front of worth which prevents it from shining.
In this episode, Teal explains how one would go about finding their own self worth and self esteem and reminds us all that none of us need to justify ourselves or our lives to anyone...not even to ourselves.
She reminds us that no matter who you are or what you have done in this life, you are wonderful and unique and most of all...you are ENOUGH.
