Dandilon Leaf Powder Benefits

Dandelion Leaf (Taraxacum officinale) offers a number of benefits for the liver and gallbladder, two organs that desperately need detoxification in this day and age.  It is a natural diuretic as well. Dandelion Leaf is commonly used to help remove excess water and toxins from the body. Dandelion Leaf does wonders for digestion as it helps promote bile excretion from the liver so the body can more efficiently process foods and liquids while also purging harmful toxins. In addition, improved bile flow makes it possible for the body to better metabolize fat, which helps optimize the body’s cholesterol levels.

Dandelion Leaf is effective at stimulating a sluggish gallbladder, which is responsible for storing and excreting bile as the body needs it. This natural herb is very effective at promoting blood purity, which helps reduce the burden placed on the liver to filter out toxins. By helping to purify the blood, Dandelion Leaf allows the liver to more effectively perform its function.

This is a wonderful herb to add to your diet daily a month before performing a liver cleanse. Last year I followed Andreas Amazing Liver flush, with amazing results. Adding Dandelion Leaf to the per-cleanse will give your body an even easier time removing all those built up stones in you liver and gallbladder.

The many benefits of Dandelion Leaf Powder include:

Digestive Aid – Dandelion acts as a mild laxative that promotes digestion, stimulates appetite, and balances the natural and beneficial bacteria in the intestines.

Kidney – This weed-like superfood is a diuretic that helps the kidneys clear out waste, salt, and excess water. This inhibits microbial growth in the urinary system too.

Liver – Dandelion has been shown to improve liver function by removing toxins and reestablishing hydration and electrolyte balance.

Antioxidants – Every part of the dandelion plant is rich in antioxidants that prevent free-radical damage to cells and DNA, slowing down the aging process in our cells.

Cancer – Dandelion acts against cancer to slow its growth and prevent its spread. The leaves are especially rich in the antioxidants and phytonutrients that combat cancer.

Diabetes – Recent animal studies show promise that dandelion helps regulate blood sugar and insulin levels.

High Blood Pressure – As a diuretic dandelion increases urination which then lowers blood pressure. The fiber and potassium in dandelion also regulate blood pressure.

Cholesterol – Animal studies have shown that dandelion lowers and control cholesterol levels.

Gallbladder – Dandelion increases bile production and reduces inflammation to help with gallbladder problems and blockages.

Inflammation – Dandelion contains essential fatty acids and phytonutrients that reduce inflammation throughout the body. This can relieve pain and swelling.

Immune System – Animal studies also show that dandelion boosts immune function and fights off microbes and fungi.

I purchase my Dandelion Leaf from Earth Shift Products, that provide a wonderful organic 8oz packet that lasts a full month when taken daily.

How I consume dandelion leaf powder:

Each serving is around 500mg, to be taken 1-3 times daily.

You can add it to smoothies and shakes, or infuse it in a tea if you desire.

I prefer to have it in a fresh healthy and sweet juice such as apple juice or grape juice to help dilute the bitterness of the dandelion leaf, and to ingest it all in one go.
I add one to 2 teaspoons of powder to various juices, and drink it three times a day.
I always follow it with a full glass of water, as I do with my brown seaweed extract to aid in the cleansing and detoxification.

To store the powder it is critical that Dandelion is stored in a dark, dry, and cool place. I prefer to refrigerate it, which is recommended, or you can freeze it as well. This is recommended, but not necessary. Following these suggestions will delay the loss of its highly valued nutritional and medicinal properties, to reap the most benefits of the produce for its duration.

Organic pure Grape juice and Dandelion leaf powder
Two teaspoons of Dandelion leaf powder...then mix well. It won't dilute in juice but it will enough to drink down without any discomfort. The sweeter the juice the better, as it does have a slight bitter taste to it...but not unbearable!
Ah the magic power of Dandelion Leaf powder! ^_^
