Crochet Blanket 6 - Plum Purple, Vintage White & Country Blue

Total time = 22 hours 15 minutes
Measurements 62” x 57” (21 rows of different colors (4 rows per color except the 2nd to first and 2nd to last rows that are 5 rows of the same color) total rows = 86 high & 90 chains across)
(3 Vintage White, 3 purple plum, 3 Country Blue)

Materials
Finished Size: 62" wide x 57" (You’ll notice it finishes wider than the foundation chain (55”) because of the weight of the yarn it stretches out).

Pattern:
hdc = half double crochet stich, ch = chain stitch
1. Make a slip knot.  Tighten around the hook.
2. Chain 90 chains (so 88 triple crochet stitches per row)
3. hdc in 3rd chain from hook and repeat in each chain all the way down, use very little tension at this point, it will help you down the line.
4. Ch 2 and turn.
5. hdc in 2nd stitch over from edge of the blanket and continue in each stitch.  Be sure to get the hdc in that last turning chain stitch.
6. Ch 2 and turn
7.Repeat for 4 rows
8. When you finish a row of color 1 and don’t have enough to complete another row, add your new color when you make your last hdc.  When you have the 3 loops on your hook for that last stitch, add the new color strand on your hook and pull through.  Tighten everything up, chain 2 and turn continuing on like we have been.
9. Continue adding skeins of yarn and change to your 3rd color and crochet until you have the length you want. For this blanket I have 21 rows total, 4 rows of each color for most of the blanket and the first 2 rows and last 2 rows of color have 5 rows or stitching.
10. Weave in all the ends very well.

One row of single crochet stitches, alternating the colors Vintage White and Plum Purple.
Two rows of single crochet stitches, alternating the colors Vintage White and Country Blue.
All rows of single crochet stitches, using the color Silver Steel which is a blend of greys and white. I then added a slip stitch all around the scarf as a bonus trim (this is why there appears to be a while line where the scarf crosses in the photo above.
Two rows of single crochet stitches, alternating the colors Coal black and Country Blue.
Two rows of single crochet stitches, alternating the colors Coal black and Purple Plum

Pattern

100 chains, turn

Skip 1 chains, in 2nd chain single crochet, then single crochet in ever chain until the end. For the different patterns I just alternated colors at different times. For the first Plum Purple one I did a row of single crochet stitches in single rows and alternated with white. For the second scarf I did two rows of blue and two rows of white each using a single crochet stitch. The third scarf I used the Silver Steel yarn that blended greys and whites within the same yarn which is why the pattern looks very random.

At the last chain of each row single crochet then chain up 2 and turn work around or fasten off to change colors.

I did 9 rows in the first scarf, 10 rows in the following two scarves.

Lastly I did a slip stitch all around the scarf Silver Steel colored scarf.

Crochet Slippers - Blue & White

View my items for sale here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/AnitasCraftShop
I love these easy to make slippers! The tutorial had them as short slippers but I added extra length in white.

They're not so fashion forward when the white part is up resembling white socks, or worn like a boot, but it is an option!

For the second pair I used a thicker Bernat Blanket yarn with the same small hook for a tight thick ankle that doesn't need to be folded over.

·         5 mm crochet hook or H hook

·         red heart® super saver® yarn, solid Blue

·         bernat® blanket™ yarn Vintage White

Pattern

Make a magic circle and Chain 2

Do 12 half double crochet stitches in magic circle

Chain stitch into the starting chain stitch once you’ve come around to link the full circle.

Chain 2

2 half double crochet stitches into each stitch all the way around

Chain 3-16

1 half double crochet stitches into each stitch all the way around for 15-16 rows

Heal

Leave gap of 7 stitched in the middle of top of slipper and crochet half double crochet stitches for the heal, back and forth not including the 7 stitches for 8 rows

Do a slip stitch for half of a row, then attach the back of the ankle by weaving end together.

After forming the heal, do one row of half double stitch around the ankle

White ankle first pair

half double crochet stitches for 16 rows up the ankle, or as high as you want the slippers to go, enough to fold over nicely.

White ankle second pair

For a thicker cuff, use Bernat blanket yarn in white and do a single stitch all the way around the ankle.

In the 2nd row start off at the back of the ankle with 1 decrease, then 3 single crochet stitches and another decrease. Then do a single crochet stitch until you're 7 stitches from finishing the circle and then so another  1 decrease, then 3 single crochet stitchesand one last decrees to end the row.
