· Lion Brand Pound of Love (4) – Pastel Blue & red heart® super saver® yarn, solid Cherry Red
Pattern:
Purse Body
Chain 31
Skip a stitch and do a half double crochet stitch into each stitch along the row (30 stitches total)
Chain 2 and turn (towards body) Continue half double crochet stitch down the row, then change colors.
Half double crochet 23 rows of 30 stitches, starting with two rows of red and ending with one row of white. Then skip 3 stitches on each side and Half double crochet stitch with white until three stitches are remaining at the end and chain two and turn.
Continue to Half double crochet for 25 rows, starting with 3 more white rows to line up the reds and whites.
After completing the 59 rows stitch bag together.
Purse Flap
To create a flap do a half double crochet row on one side of the purse lip for 15 rows, half the length of the purse. I used all white. Then do a half double crochet stitch around the white. When you come to the corner do 4 stitches in the corner hole.
Strap
Chain 100
Half double crochet stitch one row, then attach to purse.
Heart Design
Make a magic circle, then in the magic circle Double crochet 1 stitch, 5 Triple crochet, 4 Double crochet, chain 2, 4 Double crochet, 5 Triple crochet, Double crochet, slip stitch and then put tail to close up heart.
