3 Restorative Yoga Poses for Restful Sleep

3 Restorative Yoga Poses for Restful Sleep
By Jason Wachob

Pascimottanasana

Pascimottanasana is one of the best poses for sleeping. Turning inward for this seated forward bend, this pose invites us to be closer to ourselves, to our listening, to our healing.

Prasarita Padottanasana

Prasarita Padottanasana with a twist is a great cleansing rinse for your internal body, opens the breathing even more and helps circulation. In this chapter it's a chance to take a "snapshot" of your inner state as much as your outer pose and get an "impression" of where your attention is, and how you can bring it back to your body, to your breathing, to prepare you for rest.

Urdhva Baddha Tadasana

Urdhva Baddha Tadasana is a long warmup moment, your hands above your head, interlaced with your palms facing up, observing any places where your breathing is needed and moving your attention to those places.
